~Predicition for the crucial England/Croatia game tonight.

England won't win.

At least I very much doubt it.

Croatia are a very solid side and our defence won't be able to hack it with their direct attacking style and our lack of balls latley.

The England team are running scared. Scared of what the papers and fans will say after they screw up yet again. England bottle too easily. It never used to be like that of course. I used to have faith that England could go out and beat any team in the world but I'm not so confident these days.

I'd like to be proved wrong of course and I'll be rooting for Walcott to light a fire under the Croatian defences asses and for Rooney to fly on to the ball and strike it home a couple of times.

We should on paper be able to finish off Croatia but the lack of confidence and dire play when all these world class superstars put on their England shirts cripple us.


I hope we win. I REALLY do. Since it's a very important match and we need this. I will be very happy if I come back to this thread and we've played a stormer and sent the Croats packing. I will not mind being wrong one little bit.

I'm just not super confident of that happening is all.
 
Only in football will Croatia ever win.
 
Over here it's only shown on Setanta (including highlights), so it's not as if many English will be watching it.

England are playing a LOT better and Croatia are not looking that good against us.

I must admit I'm very surprised that we're in the lead but not complaining! We look good for another one as well. The Croats can't deal with Walcott on the wing. They have resorted to trying to bully his small frame off the ball.

Very happy right now. We just need to keep focus and keep playing well and we can get this win.

And I have to give it up to Rooney as well. He has looked great with his assists and general workhorse nature and definitley deserved his goal. It was great seeing him back on the score sheet.

Shame about Lampards dissalowed goal. It was a beautiful team goal and I still can't figure out what was wrong with it. I think Heskey shoved someone over.

England played well and it's ALL down to confidence and playing as a team. I was losing my rag with England before this match and while I still have issues this HUGE win against top flight competition shows that we are on the right track.

Capello has really brought it together.

Rooney for me looks better as an attacking midfielder and his work on the ball was great tonight but it's all about WALCOTT! WALCOTT! WALCOTT!

Future legend right there.
