Why Georgia: C
I've heard this on the radio. Nice harmony, okay guitar, but sounds a lot like Dave Matthews.

Pump it: C-
Lame lyrics, I like rap with music so that's a plus. It's kind of original, which is good for rap, but it feels like they are trying a bit to hard, and it just doesn't quite work.

Temperature: C
Jamaica reggae is always fun if done well and this is done well. It's a little repetative though, and not especially original. Got some fun lyrics "wanna be the papa you can be the mom".

Hips Don't Lie: B
Nice mix of sounds, and I always like Shakira. The chorus is very catchy as expected. Down side, the lyrics are a bit lame.

Overall: C+
I like upbeat music, and these tracks are trying to be original though they don't always succeed. Most are not especially memorable though - they'll fade into others that sound a lot like they do in the end - with the possible exception of My Hips Don't Lie, though it's still not Shakira's best work.

No way. JM is so much better than that hack Dave Matthews, it's not even funny,

Actually, I don't even like this song, I wanted to see if you would catch the fact that it's not original at all, it's just a sample of an old Dick Dale song!

GREAT SONG. WORD!

The video is SPECTACULAR.

Tear Off Your Own Head: C+
Good lyrics as expected from Elvis Costello, but overall it just doesn't stand out to me.

Boys Better: C
A little repetative. I expected more from the band that does the theme for Veronica Mars. Obviously they are capable of a more original sound than this.

My Blakean Year: Not in Napster

Sinnerman: B
Interesting. The original was already a decent version of an old spiritual. The remix gave it a more modern dance feel and makes it pretty catchy. I like it.

Sheena Is a Punk Rocker: B
You can't really go wrong with the Ramones. Catchy lyrics and chorus, lots of energy, distinct Ramones sound. What's not to like?

Separate Lives: A
Unforgettable song, which is always a condition of getting an A from me. Great harmony, powerful lyrics. Can't give it an A+ (very few songs will get that) because it's just not *that* good. But, kick ass song.

Rewrite: Not in Napster

Without You I'm Nothing: C
Creepy, especially the Bowie mix, but nothing all that original.

God Loves Everyone: Not is Napster (disappointing - it's described as written in response to the 1998 hate crime murder of Matthew Shepard and is almost hymn like, I look foward hearing it.

Overall: B
Again, mostly catchy tunes which I like. Some stuff I hadn't heard before and that's nice. Pretty good variety. No complaints really.

It was admittedly a random list, in fact the Phill Collins was half there as a joke.

If you want serious stuff, let me dig into the stash... ;)

His lips are the only ones pillowy-er than mine!

And yeah, if she does Charlize then I'd better be there with a digicam and recorder.
