Mods at EI do not have the power to suspend, only admins and I have no idea how they did it.

Mandi, do you have dial-up, DSL, or what?

If you have dial-up, then your IP changes each time you log on. If DSL, go here:

www.whatismyip.com

and note your IP. Then turn off your DSL router for about 5 hours. Then turn it on and check your IP again. It should change.

Some of them are dicks about it though and you might need to change yoru MAC address before they give you a new IP address. If you're using a router, your router may have an option to change your MAC address. Check the documentation for your router, and note your old MAC address before changing it. Though really, you probably just want to learn how to use a proxy. I'm surprised you guys don't have a FAQ on how to do that, ...or it's in some hidden forum that I don't have access to maybe. (Why do you guys advertise your trolling in public forums? I'm guessing you want them to find you and come here?)

I had this same problem when I was suspended.

Only my message actually said I was suspended until 11-00-05 and the actual time my supension was over 3:06 pm.

They told me to delete my cookies and my cache. Well I only deleted my cookies and it didn't work... I didn't want to delete all my files for personal reasons. So I just waited it out. I only had 2 days left on my punishment. ;)

It sucks big time after the staff tells you, the system works fine, trust us, you can still use the PM system if your suspended....Yeah, right-O...
I didn't trust the damn PM system to begin with and trust it even less now.....

So did you try clear your cache?

Well, my suspension is up and I still can't get on. Cookies are empty and everything. I'm on dial-up, so I don't know. Oh well.....

if you want to force an ip address change

go to a dos prompt
type 'ipconfig/release'
then 'iconfig/renew'
reboot.

without the ' symbols. Saves you waiting.
