If you don't know, now ya know
Now that I am once again gainfully employed, I want to get back into comics! Please give me suggestions for 5 Marvel and 5 DC trade paperbacks I should buy to get me up to speed with the last couple of years!

I'll take a look at Image and other independents later. Already have the 1st Buffy season tpb of course.
 
The first 5 Y:the last man, for DC, and the first 5 Runaways in digest format for Marvel.
They're cheaper than most TPBS, and are more entertaining than most as well.

Er, I mean, COMICS R GAY YOU FUCKHOLE. LOL.

There's torrents of scanned comics too if you want to STEAL.
 
I'd torrent all Marvel shit you want to read, I wouldn't give them cash. It's getting that way for DC too. It's chormium covers all over again...
 
Yeah. You should listen to Lameass Dual. Runaways, and Y, good and cheap.
 
I pretty much only read the Vertigo books anymore (Sandman, Preacher, Y, Fables, etc.), Infinite Crisis and Civil War killed my capes and tights cravings...
 
After reading about "One More Day", there's no point in reading Civil War. Why read a story that no longer has any fucking relevance?

In fact, this is such bullshit, I'm done with Marvel for good. I'll stick with DC and independents.

I mean, who the FUCK would choose his AUNT over his WIFE??? An aunt who's like 410 years old to boot! Quesada is a fucking idiot.

I have every issue of Amazing Spider-Man from #1 (bought for $570 in "good" condition) to like 500-something. Right before the reboot. I'll keep them, but I won't be buying any more. Fucking idiots. Now I can't even by my son the Iron Man comics he wants. UGH!
 
The rinky-dink comic shop near me didn't have many tpbs so I bought a few new issues. Now I remember why I stopped reading comix. $30 for NINE comics! Jeebus! I gotta use Amazon or Westfield.
