R.I.P. Frank Frazetta

Guess the death dealer finally got him. This guy was one of the iconic fantasy artists of all time, and EVERYbody imitated him...

He will Truly be missed :(

Hopefully, his family won't pick the bones clean, I know they've been fighting over his work since he went infirm.

Probably a blessing, considering how sick he was, but he will be remembered forever. Some of my best high's were spent gazing at his imagery.

Pardon my ignorance, but who did the poster art for Heavy Metal?

You mean the movie, or tha magazines?

even I knew this guy's name...he created many simply marvelous renderings. R.I.P.

Sorry it took me so long to get around to this.

First, his versatility:

^Also one of his most famous. There's a whole series of these "Death Dealer" paintings, but AFAIK this was the first.

First pic's one of the earliest I can remember seeing.

^And never let it be said that he didn't have a sense of humor.
