Retards, Cripples and Brats

When I was a kid, my parents took us to the drive-in until they were sure we could behave properly in a theater. Too bad there aren't many drive-ins anymore.

It's the teenagers that annoy me the most in theaters. They're the ones that talk on the phone, flirt across the aisles, text message their friends, etc. But they will usually shut the hell up if you confront them in front of everybody.

If the nuisance is so bad that you can't enjoy the movie, walk out and ask for your money back. Hambil and I did that once. They didn't give us cash, but did give us coupons for a free movie.

Twice I've made the persons responsible for all the noise refund my money -
once it was a couple of teenage boys sitting behind me with their feet on the back of my chair. They talked, giggled, snorted, punched each other, kicked my seat, and all manner of crap. I asked them nicely several times to cut it out. When they wouldn't, I jumped up and made a scene - they paid me to leave. Last time was a couple with several little brats that screamed, cried, ran up and down the aisles the first 30 minutes or so of the movie. I got an ovation from the rest of the patrons for that one. I'd have made those jerk parents pay me the other night, too, but I was with friends who don't know that side of me. It would have scared them.
