Opening is AMAZING! The music (DRUMS), and the space battle just looks SO GODDAMN SEXY. SERIOUSLY. How ANYONE can not like this is beyond me. If you don't think that opening kicked ass then not only are you not a Star Wars fan YOU'RE ALSO NOT HUMAN.
CAN I JUST MENTION HOW AMAZING THIS MOVIE LOOKS? Seriously. Watch it. ACTUALLY watch what's going on WITH YOUR EYES instead of just being cyncial and nit-picking. this movie looks amazing. Look at all the stuff going on the in background. LOOK AT IT. Tell me this didn't deserve the special effects oscar with a straight face AND I'LL SLAP YOU DOWN.
R4 dying was funny as fuck.
I once read a post on TrekBBS saying you could watch this movie with the sound turned off and it would be just as good. SO TRUE. Lucas is a VISUAL director (I know there's a better way to describe it than that). And guess what? Moveis are a VISUAL MEDIUM! "Oh but it's all CGI!" you moan. WHO GIVES A SEXCOCK! CGI is his paintbrush and what's on screen in a masterpiece. YODA! HE LOOKS REAL! I bet you don't even think of Yoda as CGI, yet you all complain about too much CGI at the same time YOU WHINERS.
Anyway...
MY ONE REAL COMPLAINT: the battle droids are annoying. They have stupid voices. But that's it. I love it when Obi Wan and Ani are ambushed by them in the lift so they just chop the bastards up. YEAH TAKE THAT YOU SLAMBOSGshfsdhs
R2 D2 is an evil sadistic bastard.
The fight with Dooku is a bit short but there's like 3885 lightsabre duels in this movie so it's understanble. And how about that look he gives Palpatine right before Ani chops his head off? HAHAghdalghsfn

Ian McDiarmid is AMAZING. You just want to listen to everything he says. He could be the next Hitler!
Ewan McGregor is FANTASTIC. Some of the friendly dialogue with Ani early on is pretty STUPID but he makes it believable. And what about "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!" Perfect delivery.
Natalie is...okay. She doesn't do much. "You're breaking my heart" was good and she does get the second best line in the movie (SEE BELOW). She had better stuff in the deleted scenes. Still, she looked nice didn't she!
Hayden...okay he was still a bit shite. Whiney. He was better than in AOTC though and I think he was good in all the Mustafar scenes (and in general when he was with McGregor.) At least it wasn't Jake Lloyd on stilts playing Ani!
Anyway...
"Good relations with the Wookiees I have." Fourth best line in the movie.
Remember Ani has been told he's the Chosen One all his life and the Jedi probably ARE holding him back because they're scared of his abilities so this plays a factor in his turning to evil and there is truth in what Palps says to him (but I'll reveal the real reason later.)
"The Dark Side of the Force can be a pathway to abilities some consider to be...unnatural." Third best line in the movie.
A WORD ON GENERAL GREVIOUS
What's the fucking problem? Is it just tradition for nerds to hate all prequel villains? Oh I forgot that you all like Darth Maul becaue he hardly speaks, sorry. Yes, Grevious is cheesey. IT'S STAR WARS! Of coruse there's going to be cheesey stuff. Empire had less cheese than most but even it had a GIANT SPACE WORM. And Lando's cloak. Just think of Grevious as comic relief. AND BESIDES he is quite menacing too with his creepy eyes. Great directing there from Lucas. BUT OH NOES I FORGOT LUCAS SUCKS. He doens't though.
GREVIOUS IS PHOTO REALISTIC. DID YOU NOT NOTICE THAT?
The fight with Obi-Wan is bags of fun. For people that dont' "get" how he could kill Grevious from "just" shooting him DID YOU NOT SEE him ripping the breast plate open. Did you not UNDERSTAND that Grevious was a cyborg? YOU FOOLS. So uncivilised.
I liked Obi-Wan's big lizard thing just fine and the noise it made was the same noise old Ben made to scare away the sand people in A New Hope. I LOVE TOUCHES LIKE THAT OKAY. Anyway the lizard thing died so that should make YOU happy.
There should have been more of the Wookiee battle. Maybe another 30 seconds only but just a little more. But what we saw was great. Wookiee battle-cry! EXCITING if anything. And I remember someone on TrekBBS complaining about the Tarzan yell from a swinging Wookiee. UMM, CHEWIE DID THE SAME THING IN RETURN OF THE JEDI YOU NON-FAN.
How about the emotional scene where Ani and Padme can sense each other over the city, huh? HOW ABOUT IT?
The first Palpls lightsabre fight is a bit disappointing. I assumed the part with him killing those first two Jedi was shown in slow motion. Still he made soem awesome evil faces and growls.
OKAY, Ani turns evil. It was a snap decision. But remember that once down the dark path forever will it consume your destiny. AND he wanted power. Everyone wants power! NICE to have power! Plus he does think the Jedi are evil for holding back and not using their full power to conqure the galaxy. He's fucked up but you can see where he's coming from!
I KNOW I MENTIONED THIS IN THE JEDI REVIEW BUT: When Ani saves Palps from Windu deflecting the force lightning it MIRRORS the scene in Jedi where he saves Luke from Palps' force lightning. Just imagine that Vader must have been remembering that moment at the time! TELL ME LUCAS DOESN'T CARE NOW.
ANYWAY, like I was saying the REAL reason Ani turns is beasue he's got the horn for Natalie BADLY! He should have been shown to have an erection when he was pledging his allegiance to the State of Susie (Palpatine).
Order 66 montage nearly made me cry. The music, the visuals IT ALL CAME TOGETHER. I loved it. When that square headed guy is shot down in the rain. The green chick in that giant plant world! YOU CAN'T SEE HER BODY BECASUE OF THE LEAVES. Lucas is a great director. Just admit it.
"So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause." Second best line in the movie.
I alwas feel sorry for Nute Gunray when Ani slices him down. Maybe he did only wnat peace all along and he was misunderstood!
More great acting from McGregor when he goes to see Natalie.
I find it funny that Ani takes R2 along with him to slaughter people and politely asks him to wait in his ship. LOL.

I love Yoda. Did I mention that? Like the fight with Palpatine. PALPATINE THROWING THOSE SENATE POD THINGS AT YODA! Do I have to remind you how awesome that was? Guess so. People ask why Yoda just "gave up". it's simple. PALPS HAD THE HIGH GROUND! And also that blue horned guy had went to get Clone Troopers. DUH!
OH MY GOD PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOU DON'T THINK THE ANI/OBI-WAN DUEL IS AWESOME!?!!?!? FORGET the "high ground" stuff for a moment and just look at all the awesome. The agression at the start. Ani choking him with his robot arm. The way they both try to force throw at the same time. The part when they lose their lightsabres and start KICKING EACH OTHER. Twirling the sabres around widly for extra momentum. The giant...thing sinking into the lava with them still fighting. The amazing delivery of all the dialogue from McGregor. And the "high ground" finale isn't that bad. It's just something that was blown out of proportion on the internet. (maybe if it was a reference back to an earlier incident where Dooku had the high ground against Ani or something it would be better I don't know.) Ani was trapped and he's an arrogant bastard so he thought he could jump over Obi-Wan without getting his legs chopped off. HE COULDN'T!
LOL at Ani writhing around in lava spitting out "I HATE YOU!" and Obi-Wan did NOT let Ani live. He just didn't want to watch him die. It's a huge difference. Obviously is went wrong but at least he crippled Vader. Imagine how powerful Vader would ahve been if he wasnt in that suit. I bet the Emporer was glad he was crippled too!
GREAT DIRECTING with it cutting between Natalie giving birth and Ani being reborn. Disturbing when the mask lowers onto him. "she lost the will to live" is lame I'll admit. I like to think Palps kileld her. OR! GET THIS RIGHT! She had a connection with Ani established earlier when they were looking at each other across the city. SO SHE COULD SENSE ANI IN PAIN AS HE TURNED INTO VADER AND THAT'S WHAT KILLED HER! I'm a genius!
"NOOOO!" isn't really that bad either is it? No, it's not.
The briliance of the prequels morphing into the originals at the end cannot be overstated so i won't try.
LOOK: this movie is great. How can YOU not like it. I've directed this review at the bahsers buecaseu I'm DRUNK LOL. But it is good GREAT. love it
