Humm, the word from on high is... "Lock the thread" with no warnings. But in the future... there will be. How convenient.
 
I already PMed Jiggles or whatever his name is that if I had started that thread, I'd be warned for it.

I love the double standard.

Rhea's comments were his/her opinion. They shouldn't be masked as being just that when creating threads irrelavent to EI and touching on some friggin' board war.

Or maybe EI should rethink it's position and adapt to being a board in a community of boards?

How would you have handled this?

Is it warnable to state that you ( generic ) don't like some one? That you ( generic you ) believe a person is causeing trouble?

You know I am not trying to defend her, I am seeking ideas on how to deal with this sort of posts.
 
T - THINK about who you're trolling.
R - Right or wrong have nothing to do with trolling.
O - Overdo your troll and you may end up with the tables turned.
L - Lay it on thick before you go for the jugular.
L - Laugh mercilessly as your victim writhes and rages.

I was being sarcastic. Of course she deserved a warning. By your policy, she violated it by making the thread about "me" and not some violation of policy I might have broken. That's the difference.

She was on a rant, and by allowing it to go on for a full day, it was condoned. I've not broken any rules, and the one time I did, I was warned. [rightfully so, I was just fed up with something the mods should have handled.]

That's the thing with you guys, you take so long to do something that baiting continues to make the situation worse. Either handle it fast, or let it go on and let us duke it out. You guys [EI] choose to handle it with moderation, then wonder when someone gets fed up with being flamed and baited.

*shrugs* you get what you get under those circumstances.

It's sure been warnable before. Look at the threads of bitching previously.. And as I said, one post in a regular thread that states an opinion of disliking someone is sort of normal human behavior. No, I don't think that is warnable. BUT beginning a thread [on EI] for the express purpose of bitching, baiting and flaming... Shal by your EI rules that is a bona fide no-brainier. By your own rules people have been banned for it.

See above... and thanks for the conversation. LOL, I'm eating sushi for lunch and in a pretty good mood. I don't even mind that this is all 'casting pearls before swine' and wasting my time. ;)

And FTR, I'm not hurt by this, I expected it as a matter of fact. Which was why I stayed out of the thread for as long as I did. Something you should ALL personally thank me for BTW, because I could have reamed her a new ass hole. You know as well as I do that the reason that thread didn't explode is because I sat quietly. She gave me the perfect opportunity to flame her right back. I didn't.

So you tell me........ who is the troll?

So all I want from you or any other EI staff member is a big "Thank You" because *I* showed such considerable restraint by not tearing EI to shreds.

Then leave me alone. 'K

Its easy to believe they let the Rhetroll walk away with a pat on the head from this thread. She certainly crossed the line and all hell would have broken out if I had started such a thread as that. Damn!

Since you so kindly asked, I'd like to put my two cents in on a productive idea or two.

Hatred, anger, witch hunts, blaming harshly or/and unfairly, flaming, lynch mobbing, and the "us" and "them" mentality should never be tolerated in EI. I was rather PISSED to see Rhea shoot her mouth off "opinionating" along with Veganmom against Cait, TK, and me. Apparently, to her, I'm not an EI'er. What the FUCK was that all about? And the ENTIRE staff said not a peep for days. It may be because you folks didn't know how to approach this, and I can understand that. However, it was clear Rhea was out to "get" some one, or push for creating some uncalled for pot stirring that need not have ever happened. He posts were clearly hateful, and angry. And, believe you, me, I am pissed as pissed can be about her attitude.

TK should never, NEVER be catagorized as a site full of vile sons of so-and-so's the way she portrayed it to be. It isn't right in any way to do that since so few members of TK have ever joined EI. That's like saying all the people from Nebraska are ass holes just because one or a few were. It's not right.

This whole thing has gone way out of hand. I'm sorry to see things degenerate to this level.
