The only reason Luke's new lightsabre was green and not blue, was that blue blades didnt show up well against the blue sky for the fight on Jabba's barge.

Early publicity shots actually show Luke with a blue blade.
 
This is why the gays are needed in Hollywood. Who else is gonna catch something like this?
