sampled tv shows

Is that the hot black guy from Lucifer? (Checked and it isn't: I am racist, apparently.)

The Sherlock Homles connection seems teuous at best!

Oh yeah that's true. Maybe it's by the same writers, or something. I know I saw something about Elementary in a review.

The White Lotus, season 3 - Not worth starting a thread for as nobody would reply, but I watched the first episode. It's very familiar if you've seen the first two seasons, but that's not really a bad thing. It's always a slow burn show so it's hard to know how the stroies are going to go, but there's intriguing set-ups for sure. Jason Isaacs and Parker Posey doing hilarious accents was the highlight so far. Their kids seem like they're going to do an incest story, which is weird. Should be good.
Are you watching this season, @Eggs Mayonnaise? The Sam Rockwell scene was amazing.

The only reason I want to watch Season 3 of White Lotus is because of Lisa from BlackPink. But I don't really want to watch the first two seasons...

Long Bright River - Crime drama starring Amanda Seyfried. It was on Channel 4 so I set it to record SOLELY because of Amanda Seyfried. That's how my brain works. It's not really "prestige tv" or anything, just a drama where she's trying to find her mssing junkie sister and solve murders. Amanda is a great actress and a pleasure to watch doing anything. But I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't have an autistic obsession with Amanda Seyfried. I still haven't finished it and it'll take me a long time to do so. But Amanda...

Such Brave Girls - BBC dark comedy about two sisters with mental health problems and their incredibly evil mother. Okay, first of all: this show is FUCKING GREAT. It's hilarious but so incredibly grim at times that I can see people struggling with it. That's why I'm not going to recommend it to anyone who thinks they wouldn't like it. I understand. But I LIKE that it's so uncomfortable at times. I'd rather that than it just being some dumb sitcom where you feel nothing. I wonder if @Fuddlemiff knows anything about it because maybe he'd be the person here who would possibly like it a bit (and being British it's easy to watch!) I'd recommend it to @FBI parte due if he still love me too.

Look, I'm not good at explaining things but it tackles mental health in a really honest and brtual way. The main actress Kat Sadler also wrote it based on her own experiences and her sister in the show is her real sister so maybe that makes it feel more authetnic I don't know. It is dark and sometimes hard to watch - I struggled with a couple of gross out scenes - but I do think it is quite brilliant for what it is. All the characters are hilarous and even the male characters aren't just evil manipulative men or whatever, they have their own interior lives too! It's good that's all I'm saying OKAY.
