Saw "Adventureland"

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
If you didn't live through the 80's, I don't know if you'll like this film as much as I did. The clothes and music were perfect, and the writers didn't use dialogue or sight gags to make it painfully obvious it was the 80's (I.E., no one drove a DeLorean, and there was nary a Rubik's Cube to be found.)

Jessie Eisenberg was very Michael Cera-esque, but that's a good thing. And lo and behold, when Kristen Strewart is given good material, she can actually act.

Very good film, I highly recommend it. Oh, and Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig from SNL are wonderful. They need to leave that crappy show immediately and stick to being character actors in film.

Does Kristen STewart take items of clothing off?

Sure does. You get nice side boobage and belly shots. She has sexual intercourse with Ryan Reynolds and Jessie Eisenberg also.

Ryan Reynolds is cool.

I mean, the dude is married to ScarJo, and bangin' Sandra Bullock on the side.* Of course he's cool!

*"on the side" = "in the major motion picture "The Proposal".

If was married to ScarJo I sure as fuck wouldn't be banging Sandra on any side!

I like Sandra Bullock, but then I also like ScarJo...

I saw this a couple of months ago and loved. BDM's right about the soundtrack, especially the closing credits. And INXS song was used, and it totally fit the theme of the film.

And I'm not ashamed to admit that I have a small crush on Martin Starr.

Just saw it today. At first I had a hard time liking it since it seemed like the same basic character Eisenberg played in Zombieland only no shotgun (And I actually confused him with Michael Cera in a different thread. My bad but they are alike)
but the movie does get a lot better and really became quite good. I was pleasantly surprised. decent flick...

Yeah, even the critics have remarked that Cera and Eisenberg are basically the same guy.

I liked the supporting characters a lot (especially the aforementioned Hader and Wiig), including Martin Starr and the guy who played Kristen Stewart's father. Margerita Levieva was awesome as Lisa P.

Kind of a "fluffy" movie, but very good.
