Scarlett Johansson's first music video

her vocal sound on those two song are as silent described, like the producer was doing "damage control".

beyond that, my music snobbery has to speak up, it's as though she thought, "i can sing in tune, that's pretty cool, i'm going to make a record". there's nothing glittering or special in her voice, and it sounds as though she's pushing to get any volume (hard to tell with a triple overdub).

boo... it's hard to lust after someone after that sort of artistic foray, but i'll manage.

It's not that hard.

Speaking of genre-stretching rock artists, the brand new Elvis Costello CD "Momofuku" is waiting for me when I get into work tomorrow. (I have my Amazon buys shipped there).

I've been on a roller coaster ride with him since the beginning. Well, I didn't really get into him until the early 80s so not the beginning. I was like 12 when his first album came out.

Half the people here were like 12 when Britney Spears' first album came out. *sigh*

What's so funny about peace, love, and momofuku?

BTW "Momofuku" was the name of the guy who invented instant Ramen noodles. I believe Elvis took the name as his album title because the album was thrown together quickly in a week when he felt inspired while working on someone else's project.

Stick your fingers in your ears & look at her tits. Then, when she's shut up, and still focusing on the tits, pull your fingers out and move them somewhere where they're needed much more.

Eww, wax.

that's sage advise - i'm taking it to heart as we speak

ooohhh... barracuda...

I have a lot of Waits Vinyl and bore people with him when I am drunk.

I normally have to get people VERY drunk before they are prepared to listen to him.

But then you become drunk with power.

No sir, I don't like it.

Oh, and I'm fed up with everyone covering Tom Waits. Only Tom Waits should sing Tom Waits.

I cannot concur with this. His songs are too wonderful and varied. We must sing them.

p.s. Elvis' new album is great. It's like going through a time machine to the early 80s, something he isn't prone to do. This album could have blended in with the era between Armed Forces and Trust. It's like really good comfort food.

THANK YOU ELVIS FOR NOT SHRIEKING COLE PORTER AND SHAKESPEARE THIS TIME LOL!
