Does it deep fry?

I remember being out with some lads in South Glasgow and one of them eat a deep fried pizza - straight from frozen, a little batter (he made it clear he didn't like too much batter) and then into a deep fat fryer.

I nearly gagged when they were cooking it, I had to look away when he ate it.
