Dame Helen Mirren receives star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Dame Helen Mirren has been honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Dame Helen won the best actress Oscar in 2007 for her role in The Queen, which recreated the days following the death of Princess Diana.

The 67-year-old actress attended the Hollywood ceremony with her husband, film director Taylor Hackford.

I couldn't understand why they had her with all the old people, never realised her age, now it makes more sense.

Hot as is. That's what I like about English actors - for the most part, actors of the calibre of Judy Dench and Helen Mirren don't find the need to indulge in plastic surgery and ruin their looks like so many Hollywood "stars" do. They grow older and they still attact a appreciative audience.
