Sherlock Christmas Special Thread

Oh, I thought he fell off a cliff! I never saw the season he was in, so this was all very confusing.

I did not see this. I was actually looking for my thread about the books to post about the "Sherlock Holmes Christmas Special" ("The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle") and found this thread. I enjoyed Cumberbatch as an updated Holmes, but I wish, instead, they'd used him for faithful adaptations of the Bond novels.

Not a big Bond fan, but couldn't imagine Cumberbatch as Bond. Sean Connery was the best one IMHO.

"Goldeneye" Brosnan is the closest to Fleming's description of Bond. 6'. 165# or so? I forget. Black hair, blue eyes. Mysterious facial scar.

Finally saw "The Longest Day." Connery has a bit part in it and, in black & white, he looks even more Bond than he does in "Dr. No."

OK. Apparently he has a much bigger part than I was aware of. But he still looks very Bond in the bit I saw him in.
