Should you ever need to get blood out of something...

curiousa2z

Be patient till the last.
I got this gorgeous quilt from my cousin but when I returned home and had a closer look noticed there were some small spatters of blood here and there on it. I may or may not ask him about that. Be that as it may, it icked me out so I tried to remove it, but it had been dried on ther efor who knows how long. Anyway, one of my pals said try OxiClean "max force" ....I gotta say, all the spots are gone except for a very pale outline of the biggest blood blot (and of course that's on the white part of the pattern) and I only see it cuz I know it's there.
Seriously didnt think I'd be getting dried blood (who knows how long it's been there) out of a cotton quilt but there ya are.

If you ever need to get bloodstains out. ;)

My aunt used to get blood out of the carpet and such with milk.

I usually just bury the quilt or carpet with the body.

EDIT: err, hypothetically of course.

Tisi, would she do that even once it was dried in?

Tisi'a auntie worries me..out of the carpet and such...? "Used to" as in habitually...?

LoL. It was when her dog was in heat, and she was spotting all over the place.

Thanks, I'll add it to my plan!

My grandma gets blood on her clothes regularly (dialysis) I use peroxide to get it out.. I think that is the ingredient in Oxiclean that gets the stains out. ANYWAY, if you're still trying to get the last spot out, try dipping a cotton swab in peroxide and rubbing it around on the stain.

At my house we have this stain remover that looks like a deodorant stick. It's fairly effective.

In my house we cover everything with plastic sheets.

Really Fuddlemiff. Really?

Do you have a car? Is your car one of those covered with plastic or towels or newspaper to protect everything?!

I have been in cars and houses like this.

I had an interesting experience with Hydrogen Peroxide today.

I don't have a car since it was stolen on the same day as the hooker murders and found burnt out near the woods.

OINK OINK AMEN!

I did too in my last apartment. Almost got evicted because it was so dirty and messy from months of neglected housekeeping.

Thanks for the tips everyone! It is nice to know so many of my friends are familiar with blood removal techniques.....

Oh, sorry about that. I re-pierced my belly button last weekend and used hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. A few minutes later the area was whiter than the rest of my body. I tested another area, it did the same thing so I washed it all off. I had just showered too, so its not like IT WAS WASHING OFF DIRT OR ANYTHING!
