Simpsons Season 20

Eggs Mayonnaise

All In With The Nuts
(Possible spoilers for non-US)

#1. Sex, Pies and Idiot-Scrapes

Random, meandering, had good moments. Musty in its topicality. Nobody cares about Dog the Bounty Hunter anymore (did they ever?).

Got funnier when Homer recruited Flanders to go into business with him. Decent running taser gags. French Connection chase parody was a nice touch, ending in a good Skinner/Chalmers/Skinner's Mom punchline. Last chase scene between Flanders/Simpson was clever/silly generic pop culture fruit salad; they flashed a quick "we won another Emmy" bit in the middle.

Rehashed Irish/Catholic/IRA jokes. B-story of Marge unwittingly working at an erotic bakery was okay (see Skinner/Chalmers/Skinner's Mom punchline).

On its own: B
Relative to the bar The Simpsons have set over 20 years: C+

I still have a t-shirt with Bart Simpson in a White Sox uniform that is uncopywrited from back in 1990 before the creator had a chance to copywrite the merchandise.

Did Marge become a robot yet?

I remember when they did a Phantom Menace pardoy about four years after the movie came out. As opposed to something like South Park that manages to parody things that happened ten minutes ago.

The Thing/Hulk fite made the episode for me :D

South Parks animation is more crude and easier to do. From what I understand its done with cut outs.

Maybe ten years ago it was, it's all done by computer now. ;)

Only the first episode was done with cut outs but yeah, the animation is easier to churn out than for The Simpsons.

I thought it was a good episode. One of the best I've seen in a long while. Flanders is one of my favourite characters so seeing him team up with Homer as bounty hunters was pretty good.

Sky will probably show it at some ridiculous, unadvertised time to trick people into watching their latest Noel Edmons/Denise Van Outen crap.
