Well the background was taken by my friends husband on their trip to antartica, so that was easy.
Next I put the ship on, since that was already made, it was just a case of lining it up right, and lighting it right, that was about ten minutes.
Took me about an hour to get the people clothed and posed in poser, then spent another couple of hours re-applying the textures in 3D max after I imported them.
Then I had to get them at the right angle too, light them, and set up an invisible cylinder and floor which wouldnt show up, but which would catch shadows.
That took another couple of hours, then I rendered a few different lighting settings and combined them in photoshop, which took another ten minutes or so.
