Since when has "frikkin" been a swear word?

Like when the middle finger is raised for educational purposes?

Or when preceded by a thumbs up.

Minnie on Will & Grace a few years ago. The episode was also famous for being the first time someone (Karen) was allowed to say "eat me".

that's pretty strict

Thank the stupid hypocritically prudish American censors, completely out of touch with real life and wrapped up in whitebread politics.

Of course, that's just for free broadcast and commercial basic cable. On premium cable you can do anything you want.

I remember on Rosanne when Darleens husband showed his arse, and they blurred the crack.

More hineys slip thru depending on the lighting nowadays, and silhouettes of nekkid people, but still no nips or bush or wobbly bits.

I remember in the first(?) episode of Six Feet Under you see a dead body's cock. That was funny (and hot!)

They even showed some living penises in other episodes.

It keeps getting bleeped out on the news, but it's distinguishable enough from "fuckin", surely?

They're not censoring the word, they're censoring the expression of character.

No it's the word.

The sensationalist news services would never censor a selacious story of their own accord. The grannies in Ofcom probably have "friggin" and all other spellings of it on a black list.
