SKYRIM HAS DISPLACED ME FROM THE TV

Oh no, I wasn't trying to compare it, but in a sense of being able to get lost in a game, Skyrim wasn't doing it for me. I guess with my chaotic mental state, I like a little bit more structure in my videogames.

Because let's face it, if I've got an endless window of time to wander around doing sidequests, I'll be doing that for the next five years. LoL.

I'm like Tisi (in mnay ways!) in that I find Skyward Sword more appealing then the Skyrim type things...then again I don't have a Playstation/X-Box/good PC becasue they cost MONEY and maybe I'd be more interested if I did (but I don't really feel compelled to get one in any way)...THEN AGAIN AGAIN I've always only been really interested in Nintendo games because they seem specially designed to appeal to my brain and I'd rather run around Skyloft waving my sword (penis) than run around a much larger HD world because I'm weird like that and will continue to be until Nintendo go bankrupt for only making games that appeal to the mentally ill.

I like BOTH Elder Scrolls and Zelda for different reasons. Zelda, you know you're gonna have to do things kind of sequentially and that makes for a more structured game and you know that you've missed something if you can't move forward. Elder Scrolls you can fuck off forever doing sidequests and killing random things, OR you can do the main storyline, or you can fuck around a bit and do the main story a bit. BOTH FUN.

They don't have a great deal in common really. I haven't played Skyward Sword yet but I have followed it closely enough to know it's a classic and return to form for the series which in itself is a big ask.

Skyrim and all the Elder Scrolls games are vast open worlds where exploration and finding your own story is half of the fun. You can quite easily ignore the main story for hundreds of hours because you're far too busy doing side quests or MAKING your own fun with the various different dynamics the game has.
