So a painting fell on my nose

Be patient till the last.
and now I've got a bloody headache and my student's going to be here in half and hour!
 
and my nose is sore.
 
I was washing the wall behind the stove and the painting was up above it and I must have knocked it or something because suddenly it fell and hit me on the bridge of my nose.

prolly not many people can lay claim to such an experience but I think it goes to show the futlilty, nay, the danger inherent in washing walls.

That's why all paintings have NOSE SHAPED HOLES built into them now.
 
I should have checked for the Safety Council's Seal of Worthiness. :(

I was curiuos why you have a painting behind your stove? Is is a painting of food? Isn't that a fire hazard? Doesn't it get covered in grease or spills or did you mean stove like fire place?
Is it there to cover something else? I must know! Please!

LC, my house is almost a hundred years old and the ceilings are really high so the painting (yep, a food still life) is way up above my stove, which is electric, so no open flames in any case. The nice thing about acrylic is they wash right up. I wouldnt put one of my water clours or pencil drawings behind the stove though cuz of the humidity.
