So Doctor Who goes to THE END OF TIME...

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
TRILLIONS of years, apparently, in the future...and there's still humans. With guns. Speaking english. And some of them have jagged teeth for some reason.

Umm, right.

At least everyone forgot that as soon as the professor opened the watch.

It's good to see that QWERTY keyboards survive until the year 100,000,000,000,000.

qwerty should be home keys!!!

Someone should tell Cassandra she wasn't the last human...

I hope they explain the Reavers properly next week, but they probably won't.

Oh, I'm sure she realised that when she left the cat clinic on New Earth and went to the city where MILLIONS of humans were sitting in a traffic jam.

I hope they explain the fact that they showed that one of the Reavers had got into the base, and that this was a bad thing...

...THEN NEVER MENTIONED IT AGAIN.

Actually, they did, didn't they? The reaver did...something to the radation room killing the first guy who went in there, so Jack had to go all Star Trek 2 to save the day. I think.

I honestly don't remember that.

I remember it being gunned down too.

Yeah, they totally explained that. It was when Jack explained more of his story, and revealed who HIS Joseph was.

They didn't of course explain WHY the Reavers want to kill the humans.

I don't get the whole "Captain Jack can't die thing".

Ok so Rose fucked up and instead of bringing him back to life normally she made it so that he would always come back to life if he died.

Right, fine. Of course that means that if he were to star in his own show there would be no dramatic tension because HE CAN'T FUCKING DIE.

So then he stars in his own show.

BUT in the last episode he uses all his life-power-stuff to defeat generic CGI monster #57 in Cardiff which meant that he was dead forever forever.

Except that he wasn't for some reason.

SO then he hitches a ride on the TARDIS and has to go into a room with radiation that can kill you. And it's been established that it's not that Jack is unable to die, it's just when he does he comes back to life. So technically he should have disintergrated in the room. Because he can still be effected by things that kill him.

But he doesn't.

FUCK.

Yeah, I thought it was stupid that he wasn't dying(well, disintegrating) and then coming back to life(somehow), but I suppose that would have stifled the conversation.

Clearly Jack never used all his reset button power at the end of Torchwood, he just took a little longer to recharge and come back. It's not like he understood it himself anyway. He didn't know how it'd happened, nevermind how much "reboot power" he had used up.

That's fantastic dramatic writing.

"I, Captain Jack, have just sacrifcied my life to save the world. I could have lived forever, but instead I died to protect humanity. For, you see, my life is worthless compared to the potential that humanity has on it's journey throughout the stars.

I make this sacrifice for you, humanity.

OH WAIT NO I DIDN'T! BBBYYYYYYYYYYYE!!"

Well it's the thought that counts.

It's a shame they couldn't work in an Owen Harper cameo. Raping someone, maybe.

While keeping his head and body facing the same direction at all times(he doesn't seem to be aware of his own neck).

Ak47 when you absolutely possativly got to have a gun that will last a thousand trillion years.

I suppose the humans going to "utopia" will come into play in the finale, the ship will arrive at present day Earth and Mr Saxon will see they're "immigrants from the future!" and stir up race hate or something.

Something has to happen with them even though next week's ep seems mostly set on present day Earth.

Is it worth watching? I haven't watched telly for weeks but might be tempted to a Dr Who fix
