Channel 4 has Musicool, where a group of youngsters who thought they were auditioning for an X-Factor style record deal have been coerced into pursuing a career in musicals.

And ITV is just doing what they always do, steal someone else's idea and make it crapper. Remember their Saturday night time travel drama series mostly aimed at kids starring a former pop singer(Hannah from S Club)?

No, I quite like it. The bit at the end where they have to leave the show singing("If my life were important") while crying(this week it was the most annoying contestant) is a cruel and unusual punishment banned in most countries and liable to cause UN sanctions.
