They covered the Christmas tree in the Platia with black paint FOR NO REASON so I'm pretty pissed off now. Ruining the kiddies Christmas is not on. They did randomly throw satsumas at the police station though which was quite amusing so I'm in two minds. You may of guessed that Syros is hardly the epicenter of ANYTHING EVER. And don't I love it.

It's a shame because what happened needs to be protested and the political climate of Greece is VERY complicated and can't be explained easily so I won't bother but a lot of assholes take a meaningful protest as a chance to be destructive and it's sad that it has had to come to this. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
 
its greece, they dont have panic rooms, they have mellow rooms, you just sit back, drink, watch teh world burn, and occasionally throw a plate on the floor.

yeah, protesting corruption in government's one thing - being mean-spirited where kids are concerned at Xmas is another. bastards.

speaking of which, locally some pricks stole a ton of donated Xmas pressies for the poor kids from a Salvation Army storage building.
The cops said "sources they would not ordinairily expect help from" ratted out the bastards and the cops recouped alot of the kids' toys from an apartment building known for its sketchy denizens.
