And I'm curious as to why Peter has not absorbed every single power Sylar has during the couple of times they have met. Apparently he doesn't have to touch them, as per Ted in "Landslide," so wouldn't he be able to take Sylar's powers as well?

Or has this already been explained and I missed it?

Maybe he has absorbed all of Sylar's powers and just doesn't really know it yet. Some of them might not be obvious powers .. I DON'TKNOW GOSH

He has all of Sylars powers. He just doesn't know how to use them yet. Claude addressed this when they were training I believe.

Wasn't there an invisible guy from the old school who said he could do all those things, but had to be pushed to it? I don't know, I've missed a few here and there. "TV Logic" would say that since Sylar got all his powers the hard way, one at a time from the brains of his victims, he'd have a better working knowledge of what they were, as opposed to the other guy who just soaked them up wholesale all at once. It'd be like getting a new computer, but with no owner's manual.

Yeah, I think Sylar has a much more complete grasp of each of the powers he takes.

Yeah, I think Peter has all of Sylar's powers(there's no reason why he wouldn't), but he just doesn't know it yet. Maybe in tonight's episode he'll get a headache from the hearing and remember all the names in the ten minute long credits at the end of LotR thanks to Charlie's power, then demolecularise the TV and use Sylar's original power to put it all together again. Then he'll freeze it and throw it around the room using his mind. And that's why NY still gets blown up. Damn you, Tolkien!!
