So, snow?

I was just telling my girlfriend last night how it always snows on days I'll never forget. I could live without it once it hits the ground, as there's no one left in Nebraska who is amused enough by it to want to sled or make snowmen with me, but I absolutely love it as it's falling. It's hypnotic and so beautiful.

I'm sure next time it snows the news will once again act like it's NEVER snowed before and show lots of images of, gasp, SNOW on various landmarks.

Some say there'll be more on Friday.

ITV NEWS HEADLINES TONIGHT, SNOW SWEEPS ACROSS THE NATION IN QUANTITIES NOT SEEN FOR THREE DAYS, BUT WHO'S TO BLAME?!

Every snowflake that crashes into our buildings is piloted by a tiny Al Quida suicide flea.

*announces with crazy mad -trapper-cabin-fever-eyes*

we have a bit of snow too.

we're s'posed to get around six to eight inches tonight.

oh, and it's apparently going to snow, too.

Still no snow here, I blame Al Gore.

Then I will too!
Aren't you people supposed to invade us and take our snow and melt it and sell it to L.A.?
chop! chop!

I do like watching it fall. I imagine every flake is a human life which ends as soon as it hits the ground.

NY got hit with snow today.

I hope it stops soon, I have to be a pallbearer at my uncle's funeral tomorrow morning and I'd really rather not have to carry the box through several inches of snow and slush to the gravesite.

Sorry to hear about your uncle, I am down to my last one myself.

Unless the new husband of the divorced auntie that used to be married to your uncle counts as an uncle, I think thats pretty tenious as a family member though.

yeah, that uncle will have to earn his uncledom.

We got more of THE WHITE STUFF today. I was so excited that I got out of bed.

the newsmen keep saying it's going to snow, but it don't happen. lake effect my ass.

Eggs, was this an uncle you were close to?

He was my mother's younger brother, but he was 76. He was a great guy who had gone through a tough life with a brave face. At the end, emphysema got him.

The service went smoothly, and none of us box-carriers slipped on any ice or snow. I had been dreading the whole affair since it's my mother's side of the family (who we've kind of written off since my mom and grandma passed away), but everyone was very nice and at least 33% less creepy than usual.

I'm really close with his daughter (my cousin) although we haven't been in touch much since she lives way up in northern VT. We swapped info so we can keep in touch.

La de da, la de da...

sorry for your loss, love.

I'm glad things went as well as they could.
