...speaking of footy, just finished watching the progressively more and more painful Nigeria/Belgium match at the Olympics. 4-0 for Nigeria. ow. (well, that's when I stopped watching. they could have got even more bloody goals after that for all I know, but I couldnt take the slaughter any more).
My interest in the football at the Olympics has been restrained to watching Brazil.
With the Premiership under way once more and our new wonder signing Nasri starting us off with a win on our campaign in just 3 minutes on his début and a promise of another midfielder to be signed before the transfer window closes (someone old enough to legally drink this time Wenger!) my focus is well and truly turned to the Prem.
They're all tipping us to struggle for a third place finish  and while Chelsea look really, really strong United will have to struggle a lot without the slave until October that makes up most of their attacking force.
Arsenal can definitley win a trophy this season and as much as I hate to say it I think the biggest threat will be Chelsea and not United. In fact I think United will struggle this year. 1-1 to Newcastle?
Not the best way to start their campaign but they're reigning champs so got to give them some cred and they will be deadly if they sign Berbatov.
Eduardo back in October though and if Rosicky can finally get a clean bill of health things will look very good for us.
Still would like to see a DM and CB come in on top of the prmoised Mid we're getting but meh, Wenger doesn't like to splash the cash. But in Le Professor we still trust.
How much money have The Spuds spent this transfer window? And they STILL suck!
what I saw he wasn't at his best, but that was the last twenty minutes or so and the Nigerians had run them ragged by that point. Dunno how he was playing prior to that.
