So what did YOU get for Christmas?

I had three dogs, but Mr Bill got really sick (he was old) a couple months ago and we had to have him put down. My old girl dog loves puppies for some reason, so when I got Boogie a few years ago she loved him right away. She's 13 and he's 3. He annoys the crap out of her sometimes, but mostly they just love each other. They are both part dachshund so they have similar personalities. Maybe that helps!

Before we got her, my dog had a litter. She was a rescue and I often wonder where her pups ended up. I don't know...she's a natural momma. I was mortified when she lightly snapped at a puppy jumping on her at the dog park (when we first got her) until someone who knows dogs much better than me said she was just being a mom/teaching the young ones some manners. She's never been aggressive but she WILL let another dog know when they're being impolite or violating her personal bubble, lol. I loved my cats but my dog...? It's almost hard to think of getting another one when you know you're probably going to outlive them.

See? Now I've gone all mushy, dammit. My last few cats lived to ripe old ages at least (one died at 17, I think the other was close to 19 or 20). At least there's comfort in that.
