So, what happened to WF?

I've had our server rebuilt, which is why the board is offline. O2C is working it. Y'all kept complaining about slow response times and whatnot, so I did something about it.

(1) Complete bullshit.

(2) The dumbest fucking move EVER for not posting a single thread about this before hand. "Hey btw I'll be shutting the whole site down for a few days if anyone cares"


Oh MM, the link "Troll Kingdom" at the bottom of the page is fucked up. Glad to see this site too is functioning at its usual level.
 
It's not bullshit. It's Lanzman. He doesn't have a lot of social skills so it never occurred to him that maybe just fucking maybe he should have told the board a few days before doing it. You know common courtesy and stuff.....
 
Maybe he could atleast expand on the "having the server rebuilt" statement or give us a time frame on when its going to be done.

What DOES rebuilding the sever mean? It's not a '66 Chevy. And if this server is unplugged why are we seeing any message at all ? Wouldn't it just be a "page not found" ?
 
Damn he could have set up a crappy little free board (is ezboard still around?) if it was going to take this long.

My friend this is starting to look like bad management.

Just say the board crashed and you have no idea what's going on.

MM, the link at the bottom of the page points to "http://www.trollkingdom.net/forum/www.trollkingdom.net", there is no such page. Whoever edited that link in the software did it wrong.
 
Oh, I'll bet it's not working for you because you are in the spy usergroup. Thats the link to the hidden forum where all of the real trolling goes on.

Yeah, I should have. I was going back and forth with O2C and Kyle and Tamar and just forgot to put up a general notice. Like I said over at Trek, the rebuild was supposed to happen Sunday night while most folks were offline, but the webhost sent me an email after 10 PM Sunday night asking for the third time if I wanted the server rebuilt. I was offline for the night by then and didn't see it until Monday. So they did it Monday. And they rebuilt the server from scratch, which means the entire board and database and stuff all has to be reloaded. And now there are other problems cropping up.

And, btw, wasn't TK down for most of the day today?
 
The thought has occurred. But all our users would have to re-register and I'd really rather not have to go that way.
