sometimes I overreact

Shocking I know, but true.

Take today when PC world woudlnt take back my new pc, so I shoulted across teh entire shop that noone should buy anything from them because they will say anything to get you to buy it, and once you do, you will never, ever get your money back.

I may also have overreacted when I called 999 and reported them as having stolen 915 quid from me.

I dont think I overacted when I called PC worlds head office and slagged off the people in the hull brance for being smug, arrogant, conediscending, and being generally decietful and unpleasent, but I might have been.

I also think I was being farily reasonable when I reported them to watchdog.

Anyway, got it working now.

I have a new HD and DVD-RW drive coming tomorrow for my laptop. Can't wait to see what trouble I get into there.

But Newegg has generally been extremely good through the years...

The only overreaction is calling the police. That's an emergency line, and they would never act on it - you however, would leave yourself open to charges in wasting time.

Everything else can easily be explained or justified, especially with PC World, whose staff are often notoriously undertrained, underpaid, and plain stupid. I remember having to explain to one what an HDMI cable was, when he came out of the back with a firewire cable & a USB2 to USB2 cable.

Shouting out loud in public shops tends to get a reaction.

I can only think of one time I did it. As my children approach their teenage years I may do it more, simply to see the looks on their faces.

I sincerely hope you're making up the line about calling 999 to add colour to your story, because if you actually did that then it's the most irresponsible, retarded thing anyone I know has ever done. And I know a few genuine retards.

From the information you've provided so far, there was nothing wrong with your computer. It wasn't faulty or missing parts; it simply wasn't compatible with something you already owned. Well boo fucking hoo. It's part of the contract in most stores (and this is something they often remind you of verbally) that unless an electronic product is damaged or presented to them unopened, then they have no obligation to allow you to return it. Not only is calling the police an incredibly moronic thing to do in its own right, but you weren't even reporting anything illegal. You were completely and utterly in the wrong, and to make matters worse, you put other people's lives in danger. You should be thankful that the worse thing to happen to you today was to have a computer that didn't meet your satisfaction. You're lucky you didn't need to call the emergency services for... oh, I don't know, maybe a fucking real life emergency... only to find out the lines were clogged up with retards dialing in complaints about electronics stores.

are you 2 on your periods or something stick a rag up there... i think they will have just ignored him at best.

I'm sure he hopes they will.

It was just a dumb move on his part. You don't call 999 (or 911 here in the states) over that crap.

I'm not all irritated over it.
