Is it the worst thing one could do, no. Still it's not like its a good thing.
 
neither is sleeping with your uncles new wife and her niece whilst your on holiday but it didnt stop me.
 
Just because you allegedly did worse things then calling 999, doesn't mean much in regards to what Rich did.

Yes I really did call the police, yes it was irresponsible, and if they give me any shit about it, I'll ask them if they have got my stuff back from the burglary yet, because its been six years, and I told them who did it, so I think they have had long enough to solve it.

Not that hull cops solve many crimes, all I ever see them do is stop people for out of date tax disc, or riding their bike on the pavement.
 
And BTW, there is not just one 999 operator, its not like while they were on with me the line was engaged so noone else could get through.

And John, if that really is the most irresponsible thing you have ever heard, you need to get out more.

So it's ok to misuse the 999 because there is more then one operator?

I started this whole thread to show how I was stupid and overreacted.

I'm just saying the 15 seconds I was on the phone with an operator probably didnt cost someone else their life.

So what if nobody died? Does that somehow justify doing it?

At least you realise it was stupid. Although why you feel need to point out that probably nobody died is beyond me, are you trying to justify yourself somehow?
