I think they used some of the "goo" in the Aliens movies.
 
Sarek was Alien #9 to get its head blown off. Casting him cost far less money, possibly due to the fact that he didn't require a costume, although the hospital bill was quite a hefty sum.
 
What about those little Vienna sausages in a tin. And lest we forget, what about that corned beef hash with tiny potato bits in a tin? Surely these two qualify as mystery meat? I won't mention the pickled pigs feet as they are accurately labeled in a see-thru glass container, but ugh! Those tiny baby pigs feet with horned toes -- totally gross.
