Flattery will get you everywhere, especially in media circles, but as Natasha Bedingfield proved today, if you are going to flatter people it's probably a sensible move to pretend you're genuine.
The Daily Star reports: “Last Friday, she told a Birmingham newspaper: “I just love the Brummie accent. The accent is my favourite thing.”
Fair enough we hear you cry, but it appears that Birmingham isn't the only target of Natasha's affections, in an interview two weeks earlier she told a Glasgow newspaper:
“Scottish men are gorgeous and their accent is to die for. I hear the Scottish accent and go weak.”
If you are worried that you haven't been mentioned in Natasha's list of favourite things, then worry not, as the chances are your home town is probably just round the corner. She also told a Liverpool newspaper:
“The people are amazing and I love the Scouse accent.”
As we leave Natasha celebrating her love of accents far and wide, we leave a happy trading floor, from various cities – as they say up north, it's all money in t' bank.
