I remember when I first heard of The Beatles.
 
I was a little kid - maybe 8 or 9.
 
I was in the 5 & dime store with my mother and my sister.
 
My sister and I were standing in an aisle and my sister was telling me she wanted something to do with beetles.
 
I didn't like beetles.
 
There were colonies of big, black beetles that hung around the large cottonwood trees in the barnyard of my babysitter's house.
 
They left big, red welts on you if they touched you and I was terrified of them.
