Cranky you are being cryptic!! But I think you are saying that if I tell myself that I will remember my dreams then it will happen? That makes a strange kinda sense.

That is exactly how you start.

I'm being cryptic-sounding because this is much-scorned. It's a lost art I fell ass-backwards into.

I try not to scorn things I don't understand. Dreams are very interesting, when I was little I remember some of them being extremely vivid. I even remember one vaguely that I had when i was about 5. Somewhere along the way I stopped having really vivid dreams and over the last couple years, if I didn't know for a fact that everyone dreams, I'd swear that I didn't. I wonder why I don't remember.

Most people say they don't remember their dreams, so they condition themselves to forget. Over time, they have zero recollection of having dreamt anything at night.

Then, only the strongest or most shocking of dreams comes to mind when you wake, but even then, after a few hours you forget what so shocked you.

Yes, sometimes when I do wake remembering I try to replay it so I can remember it after I've had some coffee and then it's like smoke. I've always wondered why they're so fleeting. I know some people write theirs down when they wake up.

Writing them down is for weaklings.

That (for me) would be like making a copy of a letter before I throw away the original so I can read it.

Imagine this. You try hard enough to remember your dreams long enough to write them down so you can read them after you forget them.

That is all you will ever accomplish. We set our own limitations.

I should probably stop there.

Your brain is fun to pick, so you don't have to stop. I'm just ignorant on this subject.

Why do we condition ourselves to forget? Because some of them are disturbing? The bits of mine that I do remember just seem strange, but now and then I wake up and wish I could go back because it was a good dream. Sometimes I try real hard to go back, but by then I'm awake.

If you're sick of all my questions you can ignore me, you know. LOL
