Stabbity stab stab

Friend: *sips coffee* "Oh, I forget all my dreams..."
You: *laughs* "So do I!"

Both: revel in their similarities and therefore justify their own insecurities.

But.. I don't get that. Why would it be fashionable to forget dreams? No one has ever suggested that I forget mine, it just happens. What does a person who wants to start remembering do? Just have determination?

I am full of questions!

Someone relates an insecurity. Not everyone concentrates on remembering dreams, so they go along with the moment to establish a comraderie on a common point. "Oh, you forget your dreams? So do I? Aren't we both cool?"

Dreams are an easy toss-away skill to build a commonality. Who cares about them, right?

You probably recall remembering your dreams when you were younger. Why then? The mind doesn't finish developing until mid to late 20s. You remember more younger because you weren't busy admitting to others and conditioning yourself to forget.

The older you get, the longer that conditioning has had to work your will. This is akin to faithing, if you recognize it. But it is not something religious.

That's why I laugh when people claim that faith is necessarily religious.

I have faith in a lot of things.. just things I take for granted I suppose like up and down. Now tell me the secret to remembering! j/k there probably isn't a secret, just have to want to do it. I will start telling myself to remember all the time and see if that works.

You said:

Cranky you are being cryptic!! But I think you are saying that if I tell myself that I will remember my dreams then it will happen? That makes a strange kinda sense.

Then I said:

That is exactly how you start.

The key is persistence. It don't happen overnight. There are other things to consider... but I might wait for you to ask specifics. You won't know what to ask until you experience it.

Ok, I will remember that, and I will ask when I know what to ask. For now I'll just be determined and persistent.

It is possible there will be nothing to ask. It is also possible you stumble into something unexpected. Then I will answer if I can, but it should be in private (PM), not in the public in any fashion.
