I wish they would do one involving a mutiny. Some shadow terrorist group infiltrates the crew of a new ship, causes the death of the captain, and takes over the ship. The first season Would be the federation loyalists regaining control of the ship, and trying to clean up the mess made by the mutinist villain.

Also, theyre pretty much considered fugitives who have all been framed by a corrupt ferderation admiral. And the guy (or girl) who killed the captain and started all this..... Is still lurking around the ship hiding out in the pipes, or some shit.

And sex, hot weird alien sex.

Kinda sounds like a slightly better version Of voyager. With a little Lost in space Dr. Smith action thrown in. Except the villain doesn't become a good guy towards the end. They stay a cunt the entire time.

Or, maybe just have it be a regular mutiny. The captain's a dick, and the premise of the show is the crew trying to decide the best time to oust his ass. The crew succeeds each mission in spite of the Captain's assholery. Half the crew want to keep him, the other half don't.

And, of course, hot, weird, gross, alien sex.

Make the hot, weird, gross alien sex the main story arc and all the rest just subplots. Would still be better than Voyager.

I'd like to see an anthology series, which I think this was initially billed as, but probably isn't anymore.

There are so many unexplored parts of the Trek universe, literally and figuratively. It seems a shame to focus on just one. And a self contained story each season might make it more consistent.

The cost of building so many different standing sets would probably make a Trek anthology series near impossible in today's climate.
