Star Trek Picard season 2

I wonder if part of this season will take part on the stargazer with a younger actor playing Picard?

While I’d prefer a show where they explored strange new worlds or something this does at least pose some excellent opportunities to revisit previous shows, eras and characters, so I hope they take full advantage of that.

If they have a younger Picard, yeah, most likely it'll have to be a recast job. After all, they could've deepfaked a de-aged Data last season and didn't.

Plus, didn't CBS/Paramount finally iron out the Star Trek license so they don't have to do that "25% different" garbage anymore and they can basically de-Kurtzman-ize Star Trek now? (I mean at least as far as the visuals.)

(Video in the first post doesn't work for me.)

Season one was so bad that I feel absolutely nothing even for the return of Q.

Did they not have much footage when they made this trailer?

Side note, as I typed the word footage someone said it on TV at the same time, which was spooky.

Still haven't seen the trailer because I can't find one that will play in the UK (I guess whisky isn't in the UK anymore.)

Someone at work found one that was practically VGA graphics. I can transcribe it though.

Q says Picard is at the end of the road, Picard does a double face palm, cut to most of the season one cast looking confused one by one, then it ends with Jeri Ryan with no Borg implants.

On the one hand, I'm a big fan of John de Lancie and Q is a firm favourite. On the other hand, Akiva Goldsman. Don't know Akiva? Go check out Batman and Robin or Transformers: The Last Knight. That's who the powers that be have charged with running the show (as well as Strange New Worlds). If you look at his filmography, you have to wonder what he has on Hollywood big wigs to keep getting work.

It was blocked for me too, finally saw the teaser:

It's definitely cool to see Q but I feel so utterly burned and turned off by Season 1 of Picard that it's hard to care. Anyone that wants to go back and see how hopeful I was for the show can see I'm not one of those that just hate on the new stuff because it's new. I gave Picard S1 a really fair shake just the same as I did with Discovery but it was categorically awful in ways that still sting to this day. It wasn't just a bad show, It was fucking terrible.

I for sure belong to the audience they are trying to attract with this show but I don't even want to watch it because I have absolutely no faith it will do anything but anger me.

There has been absolutely no hype whatsoever on social media for the trailer. Nobody is talking about it. Honestly, I'm surprised it has even managed to get a second series after how bad the first season was.

I still hate that they killed off Hugh so quickly. He should still be in the cast.

One of the most pointless deaths imaginable. It did nothing to move the story along, did nothing to cement a villain, it was just meaningless. Every time the show flirted with a good idea or a good character they screwed it up.
