Star Trek Picard season 2

It seemed to be done to give Seven a reason to fight the evil Romulan woman, but Seven didn't even know Hugh as I recall and had plenty of reason anyway with the evil Romulan woman killing loads of drones.

Remember when Seven had to become THE BORG QUEEN for one episode and it was supposed to be a big deal but the next episode she was just standing in a pile of dead drones laughing it up.

"Somebody told us this would be a big deal if she takes over the cube thingy."
"Did they say why? Why would that be a big deal?"
*shrug* "Iunno. Screw it, it's a robot chick and a scary cube spaceship, they won't even care if it's supposed to mean things. Just, you know..."
"Leave it to the music guy?"
"Leave it to the music guy! I mean, it only has to seem like it's important for a few scenes, anyway."
"Music guy to the rescue!"

It was blocked for me too, finally saw the teaser:

It's definitely cool to see Q but I feel so utterly burned and turned off by Season 1 of Picard that it's hard to care. Anyone that wants to go back and see how hopeful I was for the show can see I'm not one of those that just hate on the new stuff because it's new. I gave Picard S1 a really fair shake just the same as I did with Discovery but it was categorically awful in ways that still sting to this day. It wasn't just a bad show, It was fucking terrible.

I for sure belong to the audience they are trying to attract with this show but I don't even want to watch it because I have absolutely no faith it will do anything but anger me.

There has been absolutely no hype whatsoever on social media for the trailer. Nobody is talking about it. Honestly, I'm surprised it has even managed to get a second series after how bad the first season was.

Yeah, I gave it a fair shot as well. Was really looking forward to it - in fact I was a self-proclaimed fan after the first couple of episodes. But boy did the wheels spin off as the season progressed.

How nice to be able to discuss this without gatekeepers and guardians stepping in to tell me I like being miserable, to stop watching / complaining, or one of my favorites: you just want to go back to Berman Trek. :gagh:

Oh, it occurs to me now that if season two is taking place entirely in an alternate universe, they can just make Picard human again and say he never died and became an android in this reality.

And Hugh could be alive again maybe so that lovely gay human Jonathan Del Arco can get some more Trek work.

For all we know, Q might reveal that the entirety of KurtzmanTrek has been a mistake (which it has been...) and spend Season 2 leading Picard toward unfucking it at season's end.

And Vash, while we're at it.

Q and The Borg (Queen) at the mercy of Akiva Goldsman's creativity?

<Riker>red ALERT!</Riker>

Name a single scene that honestly invokes even a sliver of the emotion and continuation of character development that First Contact gave us from season 1 of Picard.
