Last episode was quite good, I like the fact we got to say goodbye to all the characters.
It probably carried more emotional weight than it had any right to, because we all know we weren't just saying goodbye to these characters, but the whole stargate franchise, and it wasn't the fault of the actors because most of them where pretty good.
We live in an age were people are stupid, and any show that costs money like a sci fi show is bound to fail against cheap arsed reality tv which can be made for pennys, and dosnt requre professional actors, and SFX houses, just talentless twats willing to show their bodies and act like brain dead morons.
SiFi is dying as a concept, where even George Lucas cant get funding to make a star wars TV show, and the only show regulary going into space is Doctor Who.
Still theres always BSG blood and steel or whatever its called, that should be ok for the 13 episode they'll show till that gets canned too.

Blood and Chrome's only got a pilot commissioned so far, but SyFy seem quite confident about it considering they cancelled another show to fund it. Still, you're right, even if it gets made into a full series its days will be numbered.

I'm sure the worst actor from Skins will guarantee many seasons for Blood And Crap Name For A Series.
ANYWAY, the last SGU would have been a quite good season finale. I suppose it works as a series finale if you think if it as Eli's story and now he's dead. Which is pretty sad. I thought when he smiled at the end he had figured out a way to survive. BUT WE'LL NEVER KNOW.
And we'll never know what all the Rush intelligent design stuff was about.
