Viewers generally had problems with how Will's coming out scene was handled. The episode was given a low rating on IMDb as a result.

But now homophobic trolls have picked that up and are declaring all over SM that it's a sign of "a cultural shift" and that nobody wants gay storylines at all in scifi/fantasy.

Now fans are banning together to fight this political attack by giving the episode higher rankings, to take away the argument from them.

I hate social media. And I'm kinda glad I didn't stay with this show and only know this stuff second-hand, because I feel like I would have lost my shit but good if I was still heavily invested in the show...

Tumblr hated it because they didn't have Mike (who has always been straight) suddenly declare his love for Will and start making out with him in front of everyone. I thought it was a bit silly how there were 27 people there, including people Will's never talked to before. And of course the MAGA scum just hate it because they hate gays. We can never honestly discuss tv anymore!
