Stuff in my backyard

I'm having trouble getting pictures of the really small stuff. I really wanted to take a picture of a crab spider but they're so tiny and all the pictures came out blurry. I might need a different kind of lens or something. I DONT' KNOW

this is hydrangea growing in my front yard

You must have a nice camera Cassie.

Get a special spider camera.

The neighbor's cow pasture.. I love the trees in it.

Is the cow a lesbian too?

Where the hell in gorgeous God's country do you live woman?! I feel it's somewhere in which the humidity is high and I would be all, "This place sucks and those goddamn spiders are huge! I want to go back to nice, dry, spider free California!" But looking at the pictures I'm all, "I want to retire in that beautiful countryside."

Yeah, it's pretty decent.. I think. It's a Kodak Easy Share DX4530 5.0 mega pixel. I have it set to the best resolution, which is why it's taking so long to upload the pictures :rwmad:

This is an aloe vera plant's blooms. I took this one at the abandoned house. I think I should go steal it.

LOL.. I live in central Florida, about 45 miles north of Tampa. It is beautiful here and the humidity is horrible and I get spiderwebs in my hair everyday.

OK one more and I'm done for the night. DON'T WORRY I'LL GET TIRED OF TAKING PICTURES EVENTUALLY.

This is a wild grape vine growing in an oak tree.

Don't stop taking pictures. It's nice to see a bit of the world, and where a fellow MFer calls home. Plus everything's so nice and lush and colourful, apart from the grape vines.

My mum has one of those Kodak Easyshare cameras, it can be a bit tricky to focus on things that are small because it gets confused and focuses on the background instead. A good way to get around that is to focus on something big that's at the same distance from the camera as your subject(you can use your free hand if the subject will be within arms length), then point the camera back at the subject while holding the shutter button halfway down so it doesn't refocus. Then you press it the rest of the way down.

yay - you posted more pix since I was here yesterday! I'm like Fuddlemiff- I love seeing other parts of the world that MFers call home.

p.s. Cassie dont get bored posting pix! I'm just about ready to head out again for the day to the music festival, but since you like spiders, sometime this week I'll root around for the pic I took of the Black Widow spider in the backyard when I was in Texas.

A grasshopper for Agatha!!

I'm totally obsessed with the pictures, so I don't think I'll get bored just yet. I still haven't been able to get a picture of one of those little crab spiders, I almost got one this morning but the wind was blowing the web and I couldn't focus. I've taken lots of pictures of really small things that turned out OK, so I think I'm getting the hang of using the camera. NOW IF ONLY THE BUGS WOULD COOPERATE!

I think this is crepe myrtle

This is a tiny flower almost as small as those little spiders, so I know I can take pics of stuff that small. It's not quite as in focus as I'd like it to be though.

This is another banana spider, but it was down lower so I could get a different angle.

I can't believe how big those leaves are! And is that a fern in the background? or some sort of Palm thingy? :D

That is some kind of palm in the background, but there are ferns that big somewhere around here. Probably buried in weedy vines.

Vines like this.. they are really pretty sometimes but are a nuisance.

Gosh these pics are awesome!
I even like the spider ones... and I did suffer from arachnophobia for almost my entire life (cured myself only recently) lol
