Suicide Squad

I want to smell dark matter
Because we need more threads about comic book movies that aren't out until next year!

Not keen on that Joker, looks more like Odo mixed with Justin Beaver.

I am hoping it wont be a total clusterfuck.

I think I will like this movie. It doesn't seem to be trying not to be a comic book movie.

At this point there are more celebrities who have played superheroes in Hollywood than there are celebrities who have NOT played superheroes.

New trailer.... Margot Robbie is so super fine it's unreal. I might be warming to Leto's Joker as well.

Of course there is no concievable way to know whether this film is going to be amazing or a trainwreck or any spectrum in between yet.... but....Margot...

I'm so underwhelmed by this. A disjointed ADHD trailer with some glam rock thrown in screams of "we've got another terrible turd of a movie and we can't afford to 'Batman and Robin' DC's film franchise for another 2 decades." Compare this to...well, pretty much any trailer from any Marvel film (even the non-Disney ones (except the latest "Fantastic Four")).

I don't care about Harley Quinn (apart from that she's hot) and I don't care for Killer Croc and I've got a box full of Batman comics. I'm marginally aware of Deathstroke and I don't have any idea who the other two scuzzbags are. Don't care either. I'll pass on scumbag gangsta Joker too.

The thing that struck me, watching "Deadpool," is how much you actually get a feel for the movie and its flow from the trailers. I was in the theater going "OK. This makes sense," or "Here's where he's going to do that bit from the trailer." This thing, I have no idea what is going on. And I don't care enough to spend 2 hours of my time, let alone a dime of my money. I would watch this movie if I was paid to review movies, but I wouldn't be looking forward to it.

I thought the second trailer made the movie look quite promising, but I agree that this one isn't so good. It just seems to want to sync up to the music without actually telling us what the movie is going to be about.

Bohemian Rhapsody last time, Ballroom Blitz this time...are they using music from Wayne's World on purpose?
