Superman and Lois starts in a week

First episode was good, though you can feel the budget cuts in that only half the regular characters were in it and when Superman's body was brought back to Earth there was only about 3 people crowded around trying to look at him. I know Smallville's a small town but...

So Clark is definitely dead then, no way Superman could ever come back from being killed by Doomsday, that would never happen.

I think they spent most of the budget on doomsday, who looked way better than in batman v superman.

At least with Superman dead we can expect great things from General Lane for the rest of the series.

I don't watched that episode, followed by an episode of SWAT and the latest invincible, in all three someone powerful was incapacitated by a high pitched sound.

Considering how far apart each of those was recorded what the probability of seeing those three in a row were?

4.3 - Why didn't they just put Superman's blood in a rapist then rip the rapist's heart out and give that to Superman?

4.4 - Bit weird that Lana wasn't at the wedding considering she's still close with Kyle. I was shocked they remembered to have Sarah's little sister there (though I guess they don't have to pay a non-speaking child much.)

Also what was their plan if he just ripped the generals heart out, which they have already seen is his method of killing.

4.5 - Does having the director guest star in the episode save money? It was good to see Elizabeth Henstridge again anyway, she's been directing more than acting since S.H.I.E.L.D. finished.

4.6 - This version of Lex has always felt more like a thug than a super-genius businessman to me. Having him in a fist fight probably won't help that, but it was a good scene. The way they brought up Sarah wanting to study abroad then wrote her out all in one episode was a bit silly. Also funny when Clark randomly mentioned that Lana and John Henry have been dating for a month when they haven't had a scene together this season.

4.7 - Why would Candice tell her abused, drank dad (who she isn't living with anymore) about Clark being Superman? Unless he found out some other way.

It's funny how Diggle looked the same in both universes, but everyone else looks different. Jimmy's a geeky white guy here instead of a hot black guy. Actually did we ever find out if Clark and Lois still exist in Supergirl's reality?

4.8 - So is Gordon Godfrey a multiversal Welles who decided to become a tabloid shock host, or just the same actor playing a different character?

Same actor playing a different character. If the show had continued we might have gotten Darkseid since in the comic books, Godfrey is Desaad(minion of Darkseid)in disguise.

4.9 - It was very convenient that right after Lois told Lex's girlfriend "he's bad still!" he instantly started shouting at her about something. Saved time. It's the final season so might as well destroy the town! They do a good job with the big fight scenes, considering everything.

4.10 - Lana finally returns, she was really underused this season but I guess Emmanuelle Chirqui is expensive. The season long story is resolved in the first twenty minutes and I think they did a good job of it but it can't help but feel a little rushed. I'm sure they weren't expecting the show to end this season and had to include some stuff that might have been saved for a final season. But the final flashfoward sequence was the best part of the whole season and very emotional. I did think it was slightly weird having Lex in dying Clark's vision (and no General Lane because they don't want to pay him) but whatever. It was a great ending for the show.

So that's it for the Arrowverse after 12 years. It had its highs (Legends of Tomorrow) and its lows (The Fucking Flash) but I don't regret watching it all! I'm surprised they didn't do something else in this finale to mark that occasion but the show was pretty cut off from the others anyway, beyond the random Diggle appearance. So long!
