. . . and I can't believe I'm even suggesting this, but I would like to propose removing the "gripes" from AQG. Make this forum just AQ - "Announcements and Questions."

Here's what we can do with "Gripes."

All gripes will be posted in the Staff Lounge by either the Watchdogs or by a new position -- the Advocates.

The "advocates" (and for the sake of checks and balances, there should probably be at least two) will have the responsibility of taking gripes from the members and posting them in the staff lounge. Then ensuring that the staff considers the gripe. It will then be up to the staff to address the gripe with the griper.

Any gripes posted in AQ (no longer "G") will be immediately moved to the Staff Lounge.

This will prevent people from using this forum as a means to constantly denigrate the staff and draw others into their sick little cesspool of anhedonia.

Recently it was suggested that Gripes be disallowed, and I didn't like that idea because some gripes are legitimate. However, over the last month I've seen very few legitimate gripes, and a hell of a lot of pointless whining. And I'm sick of seeing our staff bend over backwards for people who just turn and attack them. I'm tired of it, and I know I'm not the only one.
