Tatoos: Sexy or Skanky?

I went to a tatoo show. I have untouched skin. I think the artists were looking at my body like a blank canvas they wanted to paint.
 
I've never cared for tattoos on a man or a woman and, no I don't find them sexy.

Where I work if you have a tattoo you must be able to cover the tattoo from public display with long sleeves or, in the case of ankle tattoos, slacks. Even multiple earring piercings are not allowed. It's a really conservative place.
 
How about something like I know what you're doing back here tattooed at the small of your back..
 
I for one have always been afraid of tattoos. Mainly because if you ever find yourself in a police lineup, tattoos are always a dead giveaway :shock:
 
People should be grateful just to have a body at all. They show a lack of self-respect by defacing it. Art is beautiful, but pictures painted on the body pale in comparison to the artistry inherent within the mind and soul. A tattoo is a declaration that one feels their inner beauty needs to be supplemented artificially.

Some People Say The Body Is A Temple. To Them I Say Mine Is A Pool Hall.
 
I have several tats myself, and my wife does as well. All of mine have a "story" behind them, they mark transitions or realizations. In my wife's case, one is a D/s symbol denoting status and ownership, and as such is HIGHLY sexy and significant to both of us whenever I see it.

It's not either one, it should be a personal statement and an Important symbol. What others think of them should be unimportant.

^^Agreed. I know that when my dog passes away, I'll definitely get his image tattooed on my back. It's a perfect coverup for the stupid spider I got while drunk at age 19.
 
Tattoos are for mud people and circus freaks!

A tattoo on a white woman = skanky diseased crack whore who I wouldn't fuck with a ######'s dick.

I really want to get a tattoo, but I'm afraid that once I start, I won't be able to stop. I don't want anything too dramatic, something small and simple would be perfect. I have a friend who wants to get a tree tattooed on her back with the branches spreading over her shoulders, which is a little too much for me.

I think of it positively. My tattoos will make identifying my dead body just that much easier.
