Tattoo or piercing?

My sister is getting one of her tats covered up tomorrow, and I can't decide if I want to get one, or get something pierced. I can't really see myself with a small tattoo, because what I would want would have to be huge, like a big ass wolvering backpiece with his claws coming down my shoulders. You know, stuff like that that I can't a) enjoy, and b) would probably regret the minute it's done.

Whereas a piercing, I do want my nose pierced, but my sister has hers, and since we already look too much alike, I don't want to get something that would add to our similarities.

So, should I stay tat/pierced free? These are the trying decisions that plague my life.

Get a tattoo and start your own Fantasy Island.
 
Don't get something like a tattoo on a whim. Think about it a bit before you get it, and if you're not sure if you really want one, then don't. At least with piercings if you decide that you don't like it, you can take it out and it will heal pretty much as it was before.

I love my tattoo. I want more, but I doubt that's going to happen.
 
Get a tattoo of a piercing.

i constantly go over what i could i have done(other than quit drugs) to 'keep her'

Now, back to the topic at hand. I've often thought about getting a full back tattoo of a brick wall with the Kool-Aid guy smashing through it with the obligatory "OH YEAH" cartoon bubble while a nuclear explosion is going off in the background with a full mushroom cloud.

Your mileage may vary, of course.
 
My friend wanted to get a back piece of a withered old tree. But it costs so much money, that she can't afford it.

I've got a lightning bolt - ala old school cartoons - very yellow with bold lines. I want my dead bird, though, on the opposite ankle. The bolt's on my inside left, I want the bird on my outside right.

My only stipulation is that I can cover them up if need be.

I've thought about getting a full chest tattoo of Superman's "S" symbol. But I hate needles and it would be too painful and expensive anyway.
 
Get neither a tattoo or a piercing.
 
I got my ear pieced when I was 13, and haven't wanted to get anything else pierced.

On the other hand, I have 2 tattoos now, and want more badly.

So therefore, I'd say tattoo.

I agree with Phony tho, think it out first. I planned both my tats out for years before getting them.
 
Get BOTH...and don't stop @ just one...get creative ;)

I agree with others tho RE tats, make sure u love it, and choose the position well, later u may want smthing else in that place.
Also flirt with some of ur own ideas incorporated into the tat u want ;)

i would go with nipples pierced. my 2 cents. I am to big of a puss but always wanted it. i have 2 tats and they're alright i guess......
