It's weird how she always had an old lady face (I don't know mean that as an insult...like a "wise" face or something.) She was destined to live 95 years from birth.

Imagine if she was cast as Professor McGonagall instead of Maggie Smith in the Harry Potter movies.
She might have ended up playing the Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey as well!
(Probably not as Dame Maggie is friends with Julian Fellowes from Gosford Park and he wrote the role for her but still)

The only big movie thing she's been in lately was Mary Poppins Returns but I am not watching that.

Wow, happy birthday Dame. I hope she’s still keeping active during Covid. I guess a long life has a lot to do with genetics, but I always got the impression that constant and enjoyable work was what kept her going.
