The bookmark toolbar has stopped working properly on Firefox

I am near suicidal that my browser has betrayed my trust in it. WHY HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME, FIREFOX?
 
Did you recently download an update?
 
My bookmarks survived the update.
 
Yes I did, but it was acting funny beforehand. They'll be on the first page you open and then not on any other. It's annoying me enough to attempt to find the cause.

You may have to uninstall Firefox and start over.

I shouldn't be hard to uninstall it, and even on my slow ass dial up it doesn't take long to download.

I still have my bookmarks. I just don't have the ones I use most on a convenient toolbar on every page.
 
OH.. so it is an add on. Have you checked to see if that add on has an update? Cause there are some add ons that probably won't work till they're updated, and some of them probably don't have updates yet to go with the latest version of Firefox. You could always go back to the last version of Firefox for a while, I don't think it's hard to get the last update removed.
 
Firefox comes with it, so it's no add-on.
 
Weird.. I don't have a separate bookmarks toolbar. I don't think you are explaining things very well! SO I'M GOING TO BED.
 
I don't have a bookmarks toolbar either. It sounds like something you'd add on.
 
The little TK picture has gone from my bookmark, it appears to have stolen the lonaf picture
 
Those are called "favicons" and mine got scrambled a long time ago.. then I got the new computer and TK doesn't have one anymore.
 
Yeah, TK's doesn't show up for me.

Reminds me I should probably make a new one for Lonny with the updated logo.
 
In order to have a working Bookmarks toolbar, you need to:

a) Make sure it's checked on in View/Toolbars

b) Make sure your bookmarks/folders are placed inside the "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" in "Organize Bookmarks".

It's actually the easiest and most user-friendly bookmark manager of all the browsers. IE's sucks balls.
