The Chinese are quite clearly demonstrating their superiority

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
I declare them the new leaders of the free world and bow to their rule.

Of course, it's easy to put on a great show if you don't have to listen to anyone's complaints about the money spent or the houses knocked down. Looks very good, though.

I wonder if any performer who makes a mistake is taken out back and shot afterwards?

I wondered that. Not shot, but maybe has a Chinese flag on a pole rammed up their bum.

First the Olympics then the world!

Asians are angry because their weenii are smaller than most.

Why don't China just free Tibet, now that we kind of like them for putting on a good opening ceremony anyway? They probably wouldn't miss it.

They just get a really strong Chinese Burn from Bruce Lee's closest living relative.

"Ted, the chinese are here."

It's also very easy if you have a monstrous population like theirs.

My parents always mutter about how "they're sneaking up unnoticed on the world".

Of course, how a country with so many people can go unnoticed is quite beyond me!

They're good tiptoers.

I declare them the new leaders of the free world and bow to their rule.

does this mean free Take Out now?

I bet the opening ceremonies were amazing. I guess at the same time I was sitting staring at the sky counting shooting stars...

They need to play Eric Idle's "I like Chinese" song at every opportunity.

The world today seems absolutely crackers,
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high.
There's fools and idiots sitting on the trigger.
It's depressing and it's senseless, and that's why...
I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
They only come up to your knees,
Yet they're always friendly, and they're ready to please.

I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
There's nine hundred million of them in the world today.
You'd better learn to like them; that's what I say.

I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
They come from a long way overseas,
But they're cute and they're cuddly, and they're ready to please.

I like Chinese food.
The waiters never are rude.
Think of the many things they've done to impress.
There's Maoism, Taoism, I Ching, and Chess.

So I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
I like their tiny little trees,
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their yin, and yang-ese.

I like Chinese thought,
The wisdom that Confucious taught.
If Darwin is anything to shout about,
The Chinese will survive us all without any doubt.

So, I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
They only come up to your knees,
Yet they're wise and they're witty, and they're ready to please.

All together.

[verse in Chinese]
Wo ai zhongguo ren. (I like Chinese.)
Wo ai zhongguo ren. (I like Chinese.)
Wo ai zhongguo ren. (I like Chinese.)
Ni hao ma; ni hao ma; ni hao ma; zaijien! (How are you; how are you; how are you; goodbye!)

I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
Their food is guaranteed to please,
A fourteen, a seven, a nine, and lychees.

I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
I like their tiny little trees,
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their yin, and yang-ese.

I like Chinese.
I like Chinese.
They only come up to your knees...

something tells me there's no Tibetan National Team competing....

so what happened with the banners ban? The banning of banners....they told Canadian fans they wouldn't be able to fly Canadian flags or have signs reading "Go Canada!" or anything of that subversive sort...did they really forbid that after all?

I haven't seen any banners as yet - I guess we won't really find out until the Track & Field starts.

imagine even telling fans that in the first place at a sports event......are they really grasping the concept of what the Olympics are supposed to be about??

I hear any foreign woman who gets pregnant on chinese soil will be forced to take the pill throughout the games.

I watched the Chinese women Vs. Canadians playing soccer and saw lots of Chinese flag waving so it'd be a bit hypocritical to ban other countries from waving their own flags.

and China would never be hypocritical.
